Hello all

Hello all (the 5 or so of you that read this),

Last night I had a great time in Waco with Whitley (check out her blog!) and Cameron. We made the trip for the basketball game, and although the outcome of the game wasn't what we wanted, we still had a great night! I love Aggie basketball, a lot. and that is such an understatement. However, as I was sitting there at the end of the game, about 20 seconds left, I was a complete and total nervous wreck. I could barley control myself. I have this unreal passion for that basketball team and I hate to watch them lose. Then when we were walking back to the car it hit me. What if I was as passionate about my relationship with Jesus, as I am passionate about Aggie basketball? I haven't been able to stop thinking about that. How much different would my life look? Its a hard truth to take in, but it is truth. There are a lot of things that we replace Jesus with. In this time in our lives, many of us could probably substitute Aggie basketball with future job plans. What if you cared as much about Jesus as you do care about where you are working, who you are working for and if you are going to have a job period. I know that this is rambling and I don't really know where I am going with it yet, but I am praying through this at this time in my life, and I am confident in the Lord showing up and teaching me more through this situation and these thoughts. I feel like this doesn't make sense because it is still so jumbled up in my mind and heart still. Oh well.

Until next time.

I dont really understand.

I am very confused. I have been going to school since age 6 (I am now almost 23) and I still dont know how to study. Seriously? I know there has to be a better way to study then how I do it. I know, if you are reading this you are probably thinking, "Bret, you could probably start a little earlier than the night before.", yeah yeah yeah, but what fun is that? This all came about because I took a test today and it was pretty much like pulling teeth to get me to study. Anyways, sorry for rambling....... and heres to a good night at the Tap. Probably not singing tonight...but you can never be so sure....

This should be interesting.

So, I guess I have decided to start a blog. This came about mostly because I dont want to study for my test that I have tomorrow, but also because I secretly wanted to have one. Everything that I write will probably be dumb, but I hope you like it, at least a little bit. Lets start with a picture or two for you people. First of all, this is my family.

Man, I really love them. My mom and dad are about as good of parents as you will find. They area always there to love me, even when I am completely wrong, they are always on my side. My older brother, Adam, is 24 and is a humanitarian photographer and is currently in Haiti taking pictures. The little brother, Cole, is 18 and a freshman at A&M, lets hope he makes grades and will still be here next year :) Love you coleboy.

Oh yeah, and this is my girlfriend, Laura.

She is pretty great too. We have been together for...well....a while. And its been great! We both have some big decisions in the next few months, but we are secure in the fact that we serve a God that is greater than our relationship and we are praying that his will will continue to be done in our relationship.
...Anyway, thats enough for now. Still not sure about how I feel about this whole blogging thing, but I will figure it out. Okay, gotta go study, or facebook, or something along those lines.
